Technological Evolutionary Mutation c / 'Great is the power of steady misrepresentation' - Charles Darwin

We are at once in the fastest evolutionary phase of technological acceleration in human history, and at the same time in complete stasis. The same technology that dizzy's us in its accelerated re-iteration and re-invention is still largely the same in physical and ideological structure as it was at its genesis. Google started as a search box and button and still is a search box and button, it's evolutionary development from 1998 to the present day seemingly limited an enhanced use of white space. Why do we accept this formula of consensus without question? Are we nearing the point when we can actively decouple ourselves from the 'crude tool' of a single criteria search engine?

Technological Evolutionary Mutation imagines fictional evolutions of contemporary technology monoliths (Apple / Google). Decoupled from our tendency of keeping things 'how they have always been' and progressed to a technological landscape where our narratives of consumption matches our narratives of production. Like all evolutionary mutations this change might at first feel unfamiliar and counter intuitive, but might soon replace a logic derived from cost of production and commercial revenue rather than the interests of changing behaviours, progressive understanding and mutational evolution.
